Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, accompanied by deputy chief minister, Y Patton, cabinet ministers and state BJP and NDPP leaders are in New Delhi meeting several central leaders and ministers.
The delegation also met Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu. “The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri. Neiphiu Rio and the council of ministers calling on me, in New Delhi today. #CMNagaland,” VP’s Secretariat tweeted Thursday.
Besides, Rio and state leaders also met union finance minister, Arun Jaitley, at his office, union minister of state for housing & urban affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri, and union minister of state for home affairs, Kiren Rijiju, at his residence in Delhi.
“The newly appointed Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio called on the Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Arun Jaitley in his office in New Delhi today,” Ministry of Finance’s tweet stated. “Extended hearty welcome to new Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio ji, Dy CM Y. Patton ji & the team at my residence at New Delhi. My best wishes to the new Govt headed by very senior leader Rio ji,” Rijiju said in a tweet.
